Substance
abuse: treatment for alcohol abuse and chemical
dependency
To meet the individual needs of our patients,
our substance abuse treatment center combines
chemical dependency evaluation services with
a continuum of care that includes residential
addiction recovery, partial hospitalization,
outpatient, after care and family programs.
Every chemical dependency or substance abuse
patient is unique. We determine the optimum
length of stay or type of program based on
each individual’s needs. We offer ongoing
evaluation during each phase of treatment
to determine the patient’s requirements
for successful recovery from alcohol and
drug abuse.
Our alcohol abuse and drug
rehabilitation program offers a continuum
of care:
Extended
Care for Substance Abuse Treatment The Transitions
Recovery substance abuse
program encompasses two essential
phases based on the needs and
progress of the patient.
In the first phase,
the patient receives the most intense
level of therapy, which can include
group therapy, individual therapy,
family therapy, psycho-educational
presentations, and attending 12-step
meetings.
The initial phase
of the substance abuse program
provides an informational base
that encourages awareness and understanding
of chemical dependency. Topics
range from drug and alcohol abuse
to co-occurring problems (dual
diagnosis), to development
of constructive life skills like
household budgeting and impulse
control.
Phase
two allows reentry into the community
accompanied
by less intense therapy, supporting
the ultimate goal of recovery and
self sufficiency. This phase is
continuous and based on the patient’s
progress as assessed by the multi-disciplinary
addiction treatment center team
and the patient.

Outpatient
and Continuing Treatment for
Substance Abuse
Day
Treatment is an option for
patients who do not require residential
treatment but still need intense
substance abuse treatment.
Our Intensive
Out Patient substance abuse
program for alcohol abuse and
chemical dependency provides
six weeks of outpatient substance
abuse treatment. The program
treats the disease concept of
addiction and includes introduction
to AA or NA and family involvement.
Scheduling is according to the
convenience of the patient.
Addiction
recovery aftercare support
groups play an important role in
overcoming substance abuse and
chemical dependency. All Transitions
Recovery psychiatric and
psychological services remain available
to patients during aftercare, including
continued relapse prevention education
and 24-hour access to addiction
treatment center staff.

Program
for Families of Substance Abusers
When
an individual suffers from substance
abuse, their family also suffers.
We believe that families need and
deserve support just as the patient
does. Transitions Recovery offers
ongoing family support groups,
so family members can work with
trained professionals to begin
recovery for themselves and the
substance abuser.
